BENVENUTI SANTA ELIZABETTA TERAN 2016
The name of this great Teran comes from the eponymous vineyard that the Benvenuti family planted 16 years ago. It is a fantastic position at 330 meters above sea level with a high proportion of marl and limestone in the soil. There is never a fog, and it is sunny all day. The selection of grapes for this wine, which is named after him, is ruthless. They eliminated more than half of the harvest with a short cut and green harvest so that the remaining grapes would take on all the nutrients and give the highest possible quality. An additional selection of grapes was in the harvest of the third selection in the cellar after the wine underwent for 2.5 years in Slavonian and French wooden barrels of different volumes from 225, 500 i 2500 liter. Santa Elisabeth, 2016 is on the market with only 2700 bottles.
Due to its characteristics, Teran Santa Elisabetta is an ideal wine partner for dried meat products, cheese, and dishes based on meat and venison and fish prepared with spicy sauces. Its characteristics are best pronounced if it is consumed at a temperature of about 16 °C.
